Recently, interest has peaked in the vast quantity of untapped natural gas resources in the US, the reserves of which were inventoried in 2008 at 238 Tcf, with producers specifically targeting the nation's promising shale formations for this energy commodity.
The Welder is a member of the maintenance crew and supports the rig in all operations requiring cutting or welding. The welder is expected to take an active part in the company's safety program and ensure that all work permits associated with a job are opened and closed in accordance with the program. The Welder will also provide assistance to other members of the Maintenance crew as needed.
