Manage and supervise the activities involved with the procurement and manufacture of component parts and final assemblies. Work with customer service to establish priorities and manage a production schedule to satisfy region operational demands. Manage the human and capital resources within the Production and Planning Department to accurately and timely deliver product.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees through risk assessments, managing risk mitigation projects, training and coaching employees, and being a champion for safety at the facility.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manuals, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by manager within the physical constraints of the job.
Liaise with internal and external suppliers to expedite operations and alter schedules to meet unexpected situations.
Liaise with internal suppliers to monitor facility capacity and loading in order to make "make" versus "buy" decisions. This activity would be in harmony with Supply Chain strategy for plant specific goods.
Manage and supervise resources involved with: 1) the planning of material to meet order demand with a 95 % target on time delivery metric, 2) scheduling analysis on a daily basis to identify required actions, 3) the manufacturing engineering functions; responsible for establishing accurate BOM's and routers for product.
Directs all engineering related issues to manufacturing.
Coordinates all interface activities that manufacturing has with Product, Research and Development engineering.
Review analysis of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
With assistance of HR: recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers and disciplinary action.
Familiar with manufacturing and engineering environments, including systems.
Ability to establish, track, and control cost of goods, sold, operating, and capital budgets.
Managerial, organizational and communication skill.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the general business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management.
Oilfield manufacturing experience, general engineering and quality systems experience.
Should be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Minimum of 5 years in facility management and supervision of related education, training, management and supervisory experience.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Basic computer knowledge.
JD Edwards experience
Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Ability and desire to be at work in time and learn new skills
