JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Auditor will be responsible for assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls around the company's IT environment. The candidate should have familiarity with IT audit concepts and have demonstrated initiative, a process improvement mindset, analytical thinking and problem solving skills, and the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop a strong understanding of the Company's key business/IT processes, risks, and control activities.

Assist in audit planning and developing audit procedures, questionnaires and tests.

Conduct audits of information systems and technical infrastructures, processes, data centers, computer operations, and other special projects.

Communicate audit status and test results timely and effectively to audit management and key stakeholders.

Assist in the preparation of audit project deliverables (i.e., reports, memos, presentations).

Work with audit management and key stakeholders to design corrective actions that mitigate risks and/or improve business process efficiency/effectiveness to ultimately add value.

Establish and maintain excellent collaborative relationships with all levels of management and within the Internal Audit Department.

Work independently with guidance from audit management on complex issues.

Possess a genuine interest and understanding of both departmental and company's goals and objectives.

Demonstrate firm understanding of information system/technology concepts and principles as well as their application, including complex scenarios.

Work with management to identify ways to improve processes and procedures through automation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Microsoft Office proficient

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, accounting, or other related discipline

At least 1 year of IT audit or other audit/IT experience

Experience using audit analytic tools such as ACL or IDEA

Preferred:

Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) experience

Big 4 experience a plus

Professional certification or advanced degree preferred (CISA, CISSP, CPA, etc.).

Experience with JDE, SAP or other ERP systems
