JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a Specialist level job.  Assist engineers and scientists, especially in research and development.  Can conduct analytical, experimental, or other investigative fact finding work in the natural and physical sciences.  May involve identifying and using technical solutions, applying engineering, scientific, or mathematical principles in the performance of risk analysis, monitoring operations, optimizing performance, and supporting engineering design and development activities.  May work in quality control inspecting products and processes, conducting tests, or collecting data.  In manufacturing, may assist in product design, development, or production.  Leads relatively complex projects.  Possesses and applies project management principles, manages projects and personnel, to successful completion.  Refers issues to manager if not able to resolve. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card. 

Must be able travel worldwide.  Possess or able to obtain a passport.

Must possess or be able to obtain Bosiet (basic offshore safety induction and emergency training) certificate.

Must also be comfortable with hydraulics/pneumatics, capable of creating assemblies, and testing them. 

Must be computer literate to install firmware software on computers, PLC, HMI, or other intelligent assemblies. 

Must be capable of working on equipment located in hazardous area equipment.  Preferably be a certified technician. 

Related experience in Manufacturing or Engineering product Lifecyle management software.

Must be proficient with standard Microsoft office products. 

Preferred:

Programming expertise.

PLM software (Windchill) proficient, or at least can be trained. 

AutoCAD proficient.
