JOB DESCRIPTION

Inspect materials received and products manufactured for compliance with drawings and specifications under the guidelines of Weatherford Gemoco Quality Systems Manual and/or customer specifications.  Maintain quality records per the Weatherford-Gemoco QSM and/or customer specifications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all talks and skills of Inspector II.

Inspection/acceptance of parts received and manufactured under the requirements, and API Q-1, and ISO-9001.

Maintain the required quality records.

Insure that instruments and gauges being used are in good condition and in calibration.

Maintain and professional relations with customers and Weatherford Gemoco personnel.

Plan inspection procedures for use in inspection routines.

Must be familiar with and able to assist production in the application of API Q-1 and ISO-9001 principles.

Perform miscellaneous product tests as requested.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Must comply with all requirements of Weatherford Gemoco's Quality Systems Manual, Quality Procedures Manual, and Department Operating Procedures.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Responsible for attending safety meetings.

Performs all tasks and skills of Inspector II.

Insure that instruments and gauges being used are in good condition and calibration.

Maintain professional relations with customers and Weatherford Gemoco personnel.

Maintain the required quality records.

Plan inspection procedures for use in inspection routines.

Must be familiar with and able to assist production in the application of API and ISO-9001 principles.

Responsible attending safety meetings.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Mechanically inclined.

Good math skills.

Excellent knowledge in reading advanced blueprints.

Proven experience in creating and maintaining quality record files.

Excellent knowledge of products being manufactured.

Must have 3 plus years experience in the products and proficient in the Duties & Responsibilities of a QC Inspector III.

Must have the ability to maintain or calibrate measuring instruments.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

 Preferred:

  • IPC-610 Certified
  • Inspect materials or assembled parts for defects and deviations from specifications using gages, micrometers, calipers, or other machine measurement system (i.e. Keyence, Comparator, etc.).
  • Generate and log scrap reports, non-conformance reports, and receiving inspection reports, as well as other internal departmental forms.
  • Experience of related work experience in Wireline, or any other related industry or manufacturing environment, where equipment calibrations are frequent, and proficient in the Duties & Responsibilities of a QC Inspector III
  • MS Office experience
