Our Client is among the largest producers of oil and clean-burning natural gas in Colorado. They are currently in need of an Facility Engineer to work on a contract basis in Platteville, CO. The duration for this assignment is long term (6-12+ months).
This position is located in Denver, CO as a member of the Midstream Engineering Team. This position is primarily responsible for project engineering/management of assigned company projects from inception through completion.
Years of Experience:
5-10 years of relevant engineering experience with facilities engineering; experience with upstream production facilities strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; chemical or mechanical engineering preferred. Other disciplines may be considered with appropriate work experience.
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving to and from company offices/field locations.
Qualifications Needed to Perform Job:
Strong working knowledge of upstream process facilities design, operation, and maintenance including separators, compressors, process piping, PSV sizing, and general process flow
Experience with Management of Change and Process Hazard Analysis processes
Working knowledge of P&IDs, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and other process safety documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
Experience with ProMax process simulation software is preferred
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations
Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to effectively build relationships and interact with field operations, technical peers, and management
Self-motivated with creative problem solving skills and ability to move projects from concept through to implementation & startup
Responsibilities of Person Performing Job:
Optimize and retrofit existing production facilities including design, specification, and procurement of facilities equipment and components
Manage projects from inception to completion including coordination of project teams, estimation, tracking and reporting of costs, and reporting of project details & status to management
Provide day-to-day technical support to operations teams
