Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical consulting services to all Chevron Operating Companies (OPCO's) for existing assets as well as capital projects, including petroleum refineries, offshore topside facilities, onshore production facilities, gas plants, and pipelines.
• Independently establish credibility and serve OPCO's business needs in a consulting role in the area of heat exchange
• Assist the OPCO project management team with concept development, scoping, field startup, trouble shooting, and failure analysis.
• Maintain steady contacts with ETC and OPCO subject matter experts and develop an active connection between the OPCO project management and SME's.
• Actively participate in Haz OP's, Safety Objective Analysis, Levels of Protection Analysis.
• May assist in development and delivery of training on heat exchangers.
• Acts to leverage technology across Business Unit boundaries through technology networks and documentation.
• Participate in industry committees such as HTRI, technical networks, works collaboratively with peers and customers, and contributes to organizational capability by documenting and filing work product.

• Industry committee involvement is expected

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• A minimum of 10 years of industrial experience including design, simulation, and troubleshooting of heat exchangers

• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and problem-solving skills in industrial business environments
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and TEMA industry standards for heat exchangers

• Domestic and international travel about 10% - 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Practical knowledge of heat transfer

• Working knowledge of HTRI heat exchanger simulation software

• Mentoring and teaching skills
