Responsible for analytical oversight of all aspects of crude oil measurement and product quality activities within assigned Division. Works closely with all Operations Management to ensure accurate and consistent measurement of crude and/or refined products.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of liquid hydrocarbon measurements within the Division, including custody transfers, as well as leak detection and integrity metering
  • Provides support and guidance for field level measurement personnel
  • Maintains division gains/ losses within established company standards and analyzes trends in data
  • Ensures all measurement equipment within Division meets company and industry standards
  • Ensures all measurement procedures in the field are being followed according to company and industry standards
  • Provides cost effective solutions for measurement problems
  • Monitors industry proposed measurement changes and latest technologies

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or 3+ years of equivalent work experience with measurement instrumentation and related pipeline equipment associated with petroleum measurement
  • Detailed understanding of API Measurement standards
  • Familiar with PHMSA and OSHA regulations related to measurement
  • Proficient in hydroater, temperature, pressure and vicration monitoring testing, photopulsers and personal computer software operations to track and document work
  • Knowledge of ballistic, bi-directional and uni-directional provers and ability to perform routine calibrations of such
  • Able to track and monitor overages and shortages
  • Able to re-build meters to manufacturer's operational specifications and/ or to API specs
  • Can independently set up LACT Units for Buy & Sell functioning
  • Exhibits leadership qualities and shows economic decision-making capabilities
  • Experience with instrumentation and/or related pipeline equipment or trade school for related electrical/electronics
