We have an unique opportunity for a Chemist or Chemical Engineer to work on a wide range of technical support and product development projects in the field of phase separation production chemicals used in the Oil & Gas Industry.
The position is based in the Multi-Chem's Technology Center located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
•Perform laboratory tests, demulsifier, water clarifier, foam to evaluate performance of commercial and developmental products
•Collaborate with Technology Managers to troubleshoot and solve customer problems through laboratory testing and product application support in the field or offshore
•Provide technical support to sales and business development teams during tender process and account management
•Formulate products to support product line maintenance and development; conduct experiments to develop new chemical formulations or optimize existing products
•Develop methods to accurately predict chemical field performance and document test procedures
•Develop an in-depth technical understanding of Production Chemistry and Multi-Chem's product portfolio
•Operate and maintain equipment in the laboratory, including calibration, verification and competency plans. Maintain files and documentation related to test equipment
- Comply with regulations concerning safety, health and environment. Willingly and proactively adopt work practices and methods that meet standards of an ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 certified lab.

- HBO with a focus in Chemistry, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering
- At least 3 years' experience of conducting scientific experiments in laboratory (study included).
- Experience in the area of phase separation and/or oil field chemicals is a benefit, i.e. developing and evaluating demulsifiers, water clarifiers, foamers and defoamers.
- Responsibilities will develop into a customer-facing troubleshooting and consultant role.
- Travel to remote locations will be required and can be required up to 30% of your time, in durations of up to 2-3 weeks in the field.

In 1984, Halliburton provided all of the well completion equipment for the first multiwell platform offshore China. Two years later, Halliburton became the first American company to perform an oilfield service job on the China mainland
The final decade of the 20th century brought more changes and growth to Halliburton. The company opened a branch office in Moscow in 1991.
The company realigned its work into Eastern and Western Hemisphere operations in 2006, and in 2007, divided its service offerings into two divisions: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation.
