This position will be physically located in Midland, Texas.


Position Overview: Job duties will focus on activities associated with design, maintenance and operations of pipelines and facilities specific to the gathering, processing, recycling and/or disposal of oilfield waste water.  This person will provide supervision and management of construction projects and 3rd party vendors, from the corporate office, and occasionally in the field, as well as on-site supervision for well repairs. Will also assist with operational planning activities, drilling and completions of disposal wells, the economic evaluation of projects and general production processes within the water midstream business.

Major duties:
  • Writes procedures and AFEs for Salt Water Disposal Wells (SWDs) that need repair
  • Provides on-site supervision of repairs
  • Assists in the design of pipelines, water gathering systems and disposal facilities
  • Assist the pipeline construction manager in managing projects from office and occasionally in field
  • Accident investigation and related FEA / Engineering Analysis
  • Participates with management and third party vendors on new product development and evaluation
  • Creates work processes and equipment standards
  • Manages sustainability of engineering projects to improve product performance or safety
  • Manages third party engineering programs
  • Evaluates new product or suppliers
  • Provides engineering validation of equipment or components as needed
  • Creates and Manages Technical Standard Documents
  • Assists in the development and execution of asset life, inspections, and PM strategies
  • Coordinates certification requirements of customers
  • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

  • 4-year Engineering Degree
  • 3-5 years engineering and project management experience
  • Demonstrated success in working across functional and business groups to achieve results
  • Strong follow-up skills; ability to multi-task, meet timelines and follow up with internal and external customers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Self-motivated; able to work both independently and in teams
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Prior petroleum engineering experience
  • Proficient with a CAD system



Physical Requirements:
  • Work hours will be determined by management to meet the needs of the business and may require overtime and travel
  • Work is performed in all weather conditions
  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required


Typical Working Conditions:
  • Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery
  • Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use
  • Finger agility for keyboarding
