Du vil være en del av et dedikert onshore team på skift rotasjon som overvåker brønnoperasjoner ved offshore installasjoner. Hovedoppgavene er:
- Brønnkontroll og tolkning av brønn data.
- Proaktiv planlegging og rapportering til boreleder og subsurface team
- Daglig samhandling og rapportering til onshore og offshore operasjons team

Brønnkontroll er et stort ansvar som krever klar og konsis kontakt med alle involverte parter både offshore og onshore. Du må være strukturert og godt organisert. Arbeidsmiljøet er komplekst og hektisk der man kanskje ikke alltid selv finner svarene, men må finne løsninger i teamet.
Fremtidens modell for brønnoperasjoner krever i større grad fjernstyring fra landbaserte senter. Av den grunn vil kandidater som er basert i Stavangerområdet eller kandidater som viser forpliktelse til å flytte være foretrukket.
Noen offshore oppdrag må forventes.

Halliburton is one of the pioneers within real time operations and have participated in the development of the Norwegian continental shelf since the first test well in 1966.
In order to accommodate the increasing workload we are looking for Data Engineers in our Surface Data Logging department. You will be a part of a dynamic and flexible work group. You will work closely with the customer either at the customer`s Real-Time center or at Halliburton's Real-Time center.
You will be part of a dedicated onshore team working on a shift rotation, monitoring well conditions at offshore installations. The main tasks are:
- Well control and interpretation of drilling data
- Proactive planning and reporting to drilling supervisor and subsurface team
- Daily interaction and reporting to onshore and offshore operations team
- Calculations and recommendations for optimal operation
- Pore pressure/fracture evaluation

- Preferably Master (MSc) or Bachelor degree (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Science or other relevant fields.
- Relevant experience as Data Engineer or other related positions
- Candidates with offshore experience are preferred
- Knowledge of gas extraction systems is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of network solutions and drilling software
- Fluency in both spoken and written English is a requirement. It is an advantage if you master one of the Scandinavian languages in addition.
Team oriented candidates that exhibit good communication skills will be preferred. Well control is a big responsibility and the job relies on clear and concise contact with all parties involved in the well operation both onshore and offshore. You need to work structured and organized. The work environment is complex and hectic where you might not find answers by yourself but rather within the team.
In line with future development in the industry around remote delivery models, candidates based in Stavanger area or with commitment to relocate are preferred.
Some offshore assignments should be expected .

The final decade of the 20th century brought more changes and growth to Halliburton. The company opened a branch office in Moscow in 1991.
The company realigned its work into Eastern and Western Hemisphere operations in 2006, and in 2007, divided its service offerings into two divisions: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation.
