Loenbro is looking to add to our team in the Mobile, Alabama area for an ASNT Level III or ISO Category III Vibration Analysis Technicians. This position will be qualified to establish, direct, and /or perform programs for condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines including spectral, waveform, and orbit analysis. Category lll certified Vibration Analysts shall be qualified to perform minor corrective actions involving operating deflection shapes, single-plane balancing, and diagnostic testing.

Minimum 3+ years of experience. This is a permanent position with opportunity to grow.

Job Duties:

  • Performing Vibration Principals, basic motion, Period, Frequency, Measurements, Units, Shaft and Casing Vibration
  • Demonstrating Loenbro capabilities to prospective clients
  • Data Acquisition, Instrumentation, Computer Database Upload/download
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Vibration System Calibration
  • Vibration Severity, Recognition of baseline variations
  • Technical support
  • Mentorship of new Vibration Analysis Tech
  • Development and Administration of Loenbro training program
  • Ensuring Loenbro policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Continued education and improvement
  • All duties related to the success of Loenbro Inspection


  • Qualified/Certified Level III/Category III Vibration Analyst
  • Certifications or qualification documentation must be provided for review
  • Experience within the Steel Mill field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Willingness to work both in field and office settings
  • Ability to work in a high production, fast moving environment

Potential Hazards:

  • Outside most of the time
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
  • Steel Mill, Manufacturing, and refining environment
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels
  • Limited working surfaces
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility

Essential Requirements:

  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
    • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day
    • Standing
    • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
    • Use of respirator if position requires
    • Driving if required to travel *If driving required, valid driver's license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to DMV background records search.
