Senior Commercial Analyst

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Analyst to work for a leading Oil & Gas Operator in the UAE.

This position is a permanent staff position, based from their Head Office in Dubai, with solid long term stability and progression opportunities for the right applicant.

Senior Commercial Analyst Role:

This role will see you be an integral senior member of the commercial and strategy department of this major Oil & Gas Operator in the UAE. You will be tasked with developing opportunities to maximise the value of the existing Gas and LNG contracts and asset base; analysing and valuing these opportunities and supporting their progress through to execution. You will be providing analytical and commercial support for the business in relation to managing the existing contracts exposures and risks.   

You will be identifying and assessing opportunities to extend the portfolio further (Gas, LNG, Oil and Infrastructure) to support the company's long-term growth.

You will be putting commercial input in at both a project and strategic planning level.

Within this role you will be assisting in the structuring and drafting of commercial agreements, working with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Senior Commercial Analyst Requirements:

We are ideally seeking for you to be Degree educated in Finance, Business Planning, Engineering or a discipline requiring strong analytical capability.

The Senior Commercial Analyst we are seeking will have solid experience (min 10 yrs) working in Gas and/or LNG markets. You should have experience in developing / managing gas and/or LNG commercial agreements (eg Term Sheets, GSAs and SPAs). You should have experience in developing and managing energy infrastructure contracts, gas transportation agreements and gas storage contracts.

You should have solid knowledge of energy chains within the Middle East region (ideally).

In addition to the above, we are looking for you to have strong capability in modelling commercial opportunities, and in NPV / IRR value assessments for energy related infrastructure. You should have proven commercial acumen, be able to identify key value drivers and options to structure commercial transactions.
