Under general supervision, supervises, directs, and performs all phases of the rigging up and down of Testing and Subsea Sampling (SAM) product service line (PSL) equipment on work locations during well testing and/or other type operations for the purpose of providing the customer with essential reservoir fluid samples such as (but not limited to): representative downhole and surface samples and analysis by the use representative wireline/slickline, pipe conveyed, and or surface sampling. In addition to responsibilities, systems knowledge, competence and skill sets acquired from lower level roles, this individual will be required to mentor and train lower level personnel in areas of expertise and will be required to become a dedicated Assessor for juniror Sampling personnel. Routinely works in more than one type of well site (onshore and offshore) and base camp as assigned by Service Coordinator. Coordinates and oversees Sampling service line functions at the well site and field camp. Participates in high profile projects. Provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well site direction, and customer-related support activities. Capable of working in other Testing and Subsea service lines on location and in the workshop. Programs and downloads sampling data, performs quality control of sampling data and provides basic customer reports. Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to assure quality of data/job. Consults with customers concerning services and products, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and assures customer satisfaction with results. Properly maintains assigned equipment and monitors compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Demonstrates detailed understanding of down hole hydraulics, including basic job calculations, working knowledge of wireline Blow Out Prevention (BOP) function and basic reservoir characteristics - i.e., BHP, BHT, hydrocarbon phasing. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability of operations. Skills are typically acquired through completion of high school or similar education and 7 years of Sampling experience. Must have successfully passed company tests or met task guideline requirements. Must have met the minimum competency requirements for the Service Specialist II - Sampling. Must be able to perform all of the Testing and Subsea Sampling jobs in the local area. Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic rig function including, but not limited to the following: a) Weight Indicator - What is it used for, and how it relates to our work: b) Mud System - Weights of common well fluids - what effect they can have on our equipment, pressure reading, strokes per/min - bbls/min. c) Basic rig manifold. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required. Must be able to explain the function of the mobilization documentation. Must be able to review proposals received from Business Development (BD) to confirm best practices are followed and that proposed job plan will meet customers expectations in the most efficient manner. Must be able to communicate with other PSL's and third parties, to ensure equipment compatibility. Must have successfully completed cross-training to the level of Specialist I in a minimum of three PSL / sub-PSLs, or be qualified as a Sampling Assessor or conduct Field Service Quality / HMS audits.

We sold five cementing units to an English company in Burma, the start of our Eastern Hemisphere operations, and Erle P. Halliburton sent his brothers to open our business in Alberta, Canada. We opened in Venezuela in 1940. By 1946, the company – using its innovative technology – had expanded into Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and the Middle East and began performing services for the Arabian-American Oil Company, the forerunner of Saudi Aramco.

 

In 1951, Halliburton made its first appearance in Europe as Halliburton Italiana SpA., a wholly owned subsidiary in Italy. In the next seven years, Halliburton launched Halliburton Company Germany GmbH, set up operations in Argentina and established a subsidiary in England.

 

In 1984, Halliburton provided all of the well completion equipment for the first multiwell platform offshore China. Two years later, Halliburton became the first American company to perform an oilfield service job on the China mainland

 

The final decade of the 20th century brought more changes and growth to Halliburton. The company opened a branch office in Moscow in 1991.

 

The company realigned its work into Eastern and Western Hemisphere operations in 2006, and in 2007, divided its service offerings into two divisions: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation.

 

Today, Halliburton offers the world's broadest array of products, services and integrated solutions for oil and gas exploration, development and production.
