Position Description

We are looking for a Corrosion Engineer to join Khursaniyah Gas Plant Dept (KGPD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.

Khursaniyah Gas Plant (KGP) current processing capacity is 0.94 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of associated gas. The plant products are NGL, Sales Gas and Liquid sulfur.

You will implement, support and continually improve KGP inspection corrosion management programs and provide consolatory advice in materials ensuring cost effective material selection and corrosion mitigation strategies which will ensure mechanical integrity of the materials applied on all KGP assets including equipment and piping through their life cycle.
 

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, or any related major.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the oil/gas field, or similar process industry.

You must have a strong knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international standards and codes ASTM especially inspection and corrosion standards.

You must have an ability to develop strategies and KPIs to improve the corrosion area at the facility

You must have experience and knowledge in material science and metrology.

You must has knowledge at different NDT technology and their applications.

You must have knowledge in engineering aspect of welding.

You must have NACE senior corrosion technologist certification from the National Association of Corrosion engineers (NACE).

You must have API 570, API 510, API 653, API 571 , API 580 , and API 579 certifications.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

You are expected to perform the following:

Specify corrosion mitigation strategies for the organization.

Demonstrate an ability to interface with metallurgists and process engineers in performing analyses of failures caused by corrosion.

Understand the limitations of each corrosion model.

Actively participate in technology item and deploy latest technology in the field.

Conduct assessments and benchmarking of upstream facilities.

Develop KPI's for monitoring key corrosive such as H2S, CO2,rganic acids, sulfur, Cl-, pH.

Conduct frequent review, analysis and troubleshooting for the IOW system.

Develop IOWs for operating facilities or new constructions.

Transfer of the corrosion strategy to the discipline responsible of CP and coating design.

Determine corrosion sectors from process flow diagrams.

Estimate corrosion rates for each piping and equipment corrosion circuit based on API-570 requirements.
