Position Description

We are looking for a Corrosion Engineer to join Wasit Gas Plant Department (WGPD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.

Wasit Gas Plant (WGP) was brought on stream in 2016. WGP current processing capacity is 2.66 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of non-associated gas. The plant products are Ethane, propane, butane and Natural Gasoline (NG).

You will provide technical support to Wasit operating facilities, projects, technology deployment, and talent development of new corrosion engineers.
Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably in the oil/gas Industry or similar process industry.

You must have a strong knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international standards and codes ASTM especially inspection and corrosion standards.

You must have experience and knowledge in material science and metrology.

You must has knowledge at different NDT technology and their applications.

You must have knowledge in engineering aspect of welding.

You must have NACE senior corrosion technologist certification.

You must have the following certifications: API 570, API 510, API 653, API 571, API 580, and API 579.
Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Plan, schedule and provide work direction for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of very complex engineering problems.

Support the development and formulates the basis for engineering studies in any of several basic or special engineering fields by analyzing and evaluating all data pertinent to problems. Evaluate data as to scope, effect on existing, installations, economic value, long-range planning and budgetary considerations.

Lead the activists of project proposal that include development of scope, functions, interrelationship, integration, physical solution definition, cost estimate, etc.

Lead project execution for project proposal, initiatives, studies and continuous improvement of solutions and Problem solvers.

Initiate detailed work outline and makes decision as to basic approaches, processes and/or equipment.
