Position Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with Maintenance Reliability Engineering background to join Shedgum Gas Plant Department (ShGPD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.

Shedgum Gas Plant (ShGP) was brought on stream in 1981. The plant current processing capacity is 2.5 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of associated and non-associated gas. The plant products are NGL, Ethane, Sales Gas and Liquid Sulfur.

The reliability engineers provide a technical expertise, troubleshooting of rotating equipment repetitive failure through root cause analysis or any fault analysis methods. Also, support day to day maintenance activities on major equipment.


Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the design, specification and troubleshooting of all aspects in rotating equipment such as gas/steam turbines, compressors and pumps.

You should have experience with international standards govern different types of rotating equipment.

You should have experience in vibration analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reporting, and establishing the machinery monitoring programs.

You should be Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and TapRooT Analyst.


Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.

Participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.

Provide input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.

Follow up on the area's Equipment Monitoring Program (EMP) programs and trends.

Establish asset's Fault analysis data base ensuring all data, drawings, and information are complete and all modifications are updated.

Investigate trips on critical/major equipment to identify root causes and recommend solutions to avoid recurrence.

Perform life cycle cost for bad actors and expensive repairs.

Provide technical information for field repair backed up with equipment history, vibration data, and process data intended for area maintenance.

Randomly conduct a PM spot check of Mechanical PM Tasks to assure the quality of executing PM tasks. Highlight deficiency and inadequacy.

Review the Mechanical PM Defect Report and evaluate the required actions.
