Position Description

We are looking for a Distributed Control System (DCS) Engineer, to join Fadhili Gas Plant Department (FGPD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.

Fadhili Gas Plant (FGP) is one of Saudi Aramco mega project under construction to expand Master Gas System (MGS) to cater for the Kingdom's growing energy demand. By 2019 Fadhili Gas Plant will become a key component of the Kingdom's master gas system, processing 2.5 BCFD gas from the onshore and offshore gas fields. FGPD is responsible for safe operation and maintenance of gas treat, gas dehydration, sulfur recovery & tail gas treatment, MEG regeneration units and associated utilities.

FGP operations are monitored and controlled through a DCS and supporting auxiliary control systems. DCS engineers monitor and maintain the performance of these systems through conducting engineering assessments, employing troubleshooting methodologies and applying engineering recommendations.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree of engineering, preferably in computer, electrical, or equivalent. A higher education in similar majors is desirable.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in operations process control fields.

You should have experience in process control system, design and commissioning control system.

You must have in-depth knowledge of multi-variable control (MVC) theory.

You must have a knowledge in Yokogawa DCS and ESD systems configuration.

You must have a relevant control system certifications and knowledge in programing languages.

You must be able to explain in details: the steps required for MVC project execution and the various elements used to monitor the MVC performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Lead SIL studies for the various units in a gas plant.

Provide TUV Functional Safety Engineer (FSE) certification No.

Describe in details the various activities involved in a SIL study, the various assessment and verification techniques, their pros and cons.

Participate in at least in SIL studies, and provide a reports documenting the work involved.

Lead MVC project implementation from start to completion.

Support existing MVC applications (Honeywell RMPCT).
