Position Description

We are seeking a Corrosion/Integrity Engineer to join the South Ghawar Engineering Division (SGED), under the South Ghawar Producing Department (SGPD).

The organization handles all corrosion and inspection integrity related issues associated with 14 Gas Oil Separation Plants (GOSPs).
 

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably in the oil, gas, or similar process industry.

You must have a wide experience in projects, design, maintenance, corrosion, inspection and asset integrity studies.

You must have a comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in corrosion mitigations, inspection integrity issues in oil and gas facilities.

You must have full knowledge of international standards and practices such as ASME, API, ISO.

You should hold valid internationally recognized professional certifications as a corrosion engineer with NACE Coatings, CP and Corrosion Certifications; or as an inspection engineer with API 510, 570, 653, 580, ASNT Level 3 and/or other related certifications.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Conduct corrosion surveys, assessments and audits to the department assets related to wet crude damage mechanisms such as HIC, localized and general corrosion.

Develop continuous improvements solutions for corrosion challenges.

Issue design engineering packages for anode monitoring and Cathodic Protection (CP) systems.

Review Engineering design packages related to corrosion aspects and appropriate material selection and coating.

Develop the department corrosion management programs to monitor corrosion.

Plan, monitor and improve chemical treatment programs related to corrosion issues.

Share corrosion knowledge and experience and train young engineers.
