Position Description

We are looking for a Corrosion Engineer, to join Uthmaniyah Gas Plant Department (UGPD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.

Uthmaniyah Gas Plant (UGP) was brought on stream in 1980. The plant current processing capacity is 2.4 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of associated and non-associated gas. The plant products are NGL, Ethane, Sales Gas and Liquid Sulfur.

You will perform plant corrosion failure analyses and support T&I activities. Also perform RBI Studies, identify damage mechanism and conduct corrosion management program.
Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in corrosion, and must be in oil and/or gas industry.

You must have hands-on experience in T&I (Turnaround), damage mechanisms, material selection, On-Stream Inspection, Coating, CP, and corrosion management.

You must have strong knowledge of the international standards and codes ASME, API and ASTM NACE corrosion technologist and API Certification (Damage Mechanisms 571) and (RBI 580).

You must have a strong knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international standards and codes ASTM especially inspection and corrosion standards.

You must have experience and knowledge in material science and metrology.

You must has knowledge at different NDT technology and their applications

You must have knowledge in engineering aspect of welding.

You must have NACE senior corrosion technologist certification from the National Association of Corrosion engineers (NACE).
Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Guide and provide technical support to the plant inspectors and NDT work force

Provide technical support in inspection activities, integrity evaluation of static equipment, interpret the inspection results and recommend the corrective actions, and fitness for service evaluation.

Participate in HAZOP review sessions and ensure that all issues are addressed.

Develop T&I scope and procedures for plant equipment to verify all potential damage mechanisms; take corrective action to maintain plant equipment reliability; implement internal inspection program and document Internal Inspection report and documentation.

Verify NDT procedure qualification to Saudi Aramco requirements; responsible to verify NDT technician qualification and certification; conduct and assign proper NDT to identify potential damage mechanisms to the organization equipment.

Support the new constriction activities and carry out required inspection; maintain and update the inspection program and documentation.
