Position Description

We are looking for a Distributed Control System (DCS) Engineer to join Shaybah NGL Recovery Plant Department (SNGLD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.

Shaybah NGL Recovery Plant (SNGL) extracts Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) components from Shaybah associated gas arriving from Shaybah's Gas Oil Separation Plant (GOSPs) and delivers the lean gas at the required pressure to the interconnecting pipeline from Shaybah NGL Plant to GOSPs for re-injection.

SNGL operations are monitored and controlled through a Distributed Control System (DCS) and supporting auxiliary control systems. DCS Engineers monitor and maintain the performance of these systems through conducting engineering assessments, employing troubleshooting methodologies and applying engineering recommendations.
Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical, electronics, computer or equivalent.

You must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in process control and instrumentation fields.

You must have experience in process control system networks topologies and design, commissioning control system and alarm management system such as alarms documentation and rationalization activities.

You must have a knowledge in Yokogawa DCS& ESD systems configuration.

You must have a relevant control system certifications, knowledge in programing languages.
Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Provide control systems and instrumentation related engineering support to operations.

Enhance and resolve process control and instrumentation challenges within the plant.

Design, configure and commission control systems and ESD logics and sequences.

Ensure the healthiness of control systems and networks security.

Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues during plant upsets.

Participate in engineering studies and evaluations.

Work with control systems vendors to pilot new technologies.

Work with multidiscipline team in assessment and studies.
