An opportunity is available to join an E&P company with rapid growth plans in international markets underway in the role of Petroleum Engineer based in Wellington, New Zealand.

The role is to provide Petroleum & Development engineering support in operated and non-operated activities. The opportunity will include work on both high-level activities and detailed studies across a full range of petroleum engineering. You will develop skills in multiple paths rapidly and simultaneously.

The company will support you to grow and develop your potential and will provide the opportunity to undertake a Post-Graduate Degree in Petroleum / Reservoir Engineering at Masters Level.

Responsibilities will include;


· Monitoring the performance of producing reservoirs and creating reliable forecasts of future production

· Maturing developments

· Providing expertise in the behaviours of sub-surface hydrocarbons under dynamic conditions

· Production profile generation for exploration and development

· Evaluating new business opportunities

· Review of operator field development information for non-operated assets

· Help manager the Company's assets

· Involvement in joint venture management


Suitable candidates will have;

· Tertiary qualification in engineering or science discipline

· 3-5 years of engineering / technical experience in the E&P industry

· Project management experience

· Commercial acumen

An attractive remuneration package is available for this role including base salary, super, short term incentives and long term incentives as well as funding for a Masters Degree.
