The Welder for our Bits & Drilling Tools product line technology center performs the welding and/or brazing jobs for the parts manufactured as per specifications. He/She ensures all welding / brazing jobs are completed according to the relevant Standard Work and conforms with the quality standards.

This position is based in Houston, TX and reports to the Production Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding and/or brazing jobs following the procedures in the relevant Standard Work.
  • Ensure the welding machine and equipment is in perfect shape and under specifications.
  • Ensure all welding and/or brazing jobs are finished to applicable quality standards.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor
  • Comply with Company & Regulatory HSE, Quality and IT standards and policies
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Training / apprenticeship certification on welding or brazing techniques preferred but not a requirement.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Attention to detail, neat and organized.
  • Ability to work in shifts and overtime (weekends included) as required. Flexible in working requirements as the needs of the business dictate.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
