Position Description

The SPOT team is actively seeking a top Exploration Technical Advisor with extensive full-cycle exploration experience including prospect generation, evaluation through drilling, and post-drilling appraisal.

As the successful candidate you will have core skills in sequence stratigraphic interpretation of both carbonate and clastic depositional systems, and advanced seismic interpretation abilities.

You will be strong in technical assurance, prospect risk and volumetric assessment, and portfolio assessment.
Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor's degree in Geoscience, preferably you will hold a Masters or PHD qualification.

You will have a minimum of 15 years' experience in oil and gas.

Strong geological software skills (i.e Petrel, Petrosys, OpenWorks / DSS, GEOX) is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Work within a multidisciplinary team, you would be expected to find Hydrocarbons, and to interface with multiple levels including sub-ordinates, peers, supervisors, and venture partners

Provide petrophysical evaluations, and analyze image interpretation for thin bed analysis, bedding dip, structural analysis, and facies interpretation.

Conduct prospect risk, volumetric assessments, and portfolio assessments.

Provide sequence stratigraphic interpretation of both carbonate and clastic depositional systems.

Function in a leadership-based role, mentoring and training less experienced colleagues, and providing structured training as required.
