The Operator I is a member of a multidiscipline operation team, reporting to the Lead Operator and/or Production Foreman. The main purpose of this position is to perform lease operator duties at oil/gas facilities and/or well sites. The Operator I will work closely with other Operators, I&E Technicians and Engineers to ensure safe, profitable operation at field locations. This position will require the ability to work shift work and rotational on-call scheduling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform lease operator duties at the oil & gas facilities, and the well sites
•Perform moderately complex pumper duties including operation of pressurized vessels and production equipment
•Prepare documentation and produce daily reports
•Responsible for maintaining/repairing equipment and identifying potential problems
•Organize and plan daily work schedule
•Conduct production tests using established procedures and witness of purchaser's gauges and tests
•Responsible for the daily operations of the oil & gas processing equipment
•Recognize potential hazards to operations and provide protection for both human beings and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
•A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
•Must have at least 1 year of experience working as a Lease Operator
•Competent in all areas and capable of handling most problems except those requiring engineering assistance
•Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and MS Excel spreadsheets and use production input programs
•Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) are included as part of the pre-employment background check and are completed annually in order to confirm insurable eligibility coverage. (Traffic records that might be taken into consideration include, but are not limited to, recent or repeated drug or alcohol violations, loss of driver's license privileges, reckless driving or multiple traffic violations that present a concerning pattern of poor driving history.)
•Must be able to meet the physical requirements that include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, carrying instruments weighing up to 50 pounds, and wearing various personal protective equipment
•Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical to demonstrate the ability to meet and perform the essential functions of the job.
