We are looking for Refinery & Petrochemical experience candidates for world biggest single train oil refinery project.
Site based Process operations for Nigeria, Lagos.
Qualification - Bachelor's degree or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
Experience - Minimum 15 years - 20 years from Oil & Gas / Construction / Infrastructure.
Senior technical member of sub-surface team responsible for building and updating static earth and reservoir models, and the essential member of well planning, field development activities, planning & monitoring operational activities across shallow marine assets offshore Nigeria.
Input to geological projects and studies and integrate study results in to field development models
? Perform model building and uncertainty modelling to ensure consistent models that are fit for purpose for Well re-entry plans, well intervention plans, Exploration and development drilling, and is essential for Full Field Development planning. Primary Liaison with Senior Reservoir engineer to ensure proper links between static model and dynamic model work as well work and drilling progress.
? Provides critical input to field data gathering and reservoir monitoring program (WRM, WFRM etc).
? Present results internally to management and externally to partners (government and other third parties). Liaise with partners to resolve technical issues.
? Help build and maintain accurate and comprehensive databases of data gathered in conjunction with geoscience team members.
? Ensure all work is carried out to appropriate standards and in accordance with international best practice and internal processes
? Contribute to geological training and mentoring of junior staff and secondees.
Responsibilities / Key Objectives
? Geological modelling activities. Work with team Geoscientists, Reservoir Engineer's and PE's to create representative suite of static models for history matching and forecasting for the acreage under our control and license. Especially for input to reserve evaluation.
? Evaluate and communicate geological uncertainties feeding into additional data acquisition plans and capture in uncertainty analysis and reservoir modelling.
? Prepare supporting documentation on infill or further development drilling opportunities, includingbudgets, presentations, well proposals, well AFE's and well diaries as required.
? Align technical activities with business objectives to ensure timely delivery of fit for purpose solutions.
? Present recommendations to management, peer reviews and partners.
? Mentor Junior and Graduate Geoscientists as required.
? Reinforce best practices in geomodelling techniques and Petrel workflows in subsurface/Geoscience team
? Provide high quality geological evaluations, reservoir and well correlations to the Development Team.
?Define field data acquisition programs & field monitoring, including wireline, LWD, coring and fluid sampling in collaboration with other members of the team.
?Provide technical assistance to other team members
? MSc./PHD level or equivalent in Geoscience with emphasis on Static Modelling.
? Minimum 15 years' cognate experience in oil/gas industry with 7-10 years' solid experience in static modelling and development/reservoir geology in clastic environment.
? Demonstrating ( hands on , not managing) use of advanced 3D static modelling and applications including integration of petro-physics, rock physics, quantitative seismic interpretation, depositional models and knowledgeably handling reservoir engineering information to feed dynamic reservoir simulation and volumetric assessments.
? Broad petroleum geology experience, with specific in-depth experience in oil field development and production geology. Not a Petroleum Engineer.
? Detailed geoscience back ground in fluvial, delta and turbidite sedimentology and "verified" knowledge of structural regimes and depositional environments. Experience should range from international and culturally diversified environments.
? Expert in Petrel geo-modelling (preferred), Work experience with DSG, Jewel suite, Techlog and Geolog is also valued. Should be familiar with taking datasets from Landmark Open Works/Decision Space and gridding decisions in developing the Static Model.
?Experience in a smaller, independent Oil and Gas Company (stressing marginal field development and innovation) is strongly preferred. Technically proficient in Static Earth model building.
? Strong operational geology skills and experience-a technical expert with daily hands on experience in Static Model creation and maintenance..
