Job Purpose: The Instrument/Control Engineer shall provide instrumentation and control engineering input to the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team as part of the PMC services to ADMA-OPCO for Das Island Projects.
The role is to provide discipline input during the FEED development and EPC implementation stages of the projects under the services. These projects are expected to include the following brownfield works:
- Das facilities Upgrade
- Das Additional Crude Oil Loading Facilities
- Das Flares relocation/Optimisation
- Das New Crude Oil Storage (COS) Tanks
- DAS CTU Bottlenecking for 1BSCFD Gas Onshore
Principal Duties: To provide as part of the PMC team, instrumentation and control engineering discipline input into the review, verification and approval of FEED engineering and EPC engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning undertaken by others.
To report on engineering detail and progress to the PMC Team Leader and to the client Project Management Team (PMT) personnel.
To act as part of the integrated PMC/PMT
To assist in the preparation of discipline sections of monthly reports
Undertake office, yard and site attendance in Abu Dhabi as required with possibility of work in FEED and EPC contractor design offices outside UAE.
Other related duties as may arise from time to time.
Essential Skills: At least 10 years experience as an Instrument/Control Engineer, primarily in Oil and Gas Industry. Prior PMC experience an advantage.
Previous experience of handling technical issues related to onshore brownfield sites.
Ability to write reports.
Ability to manage own time, to produce work in a timely and time efficient manner
Ability to liaise and work with colleagues and client personnel in a clear, friendly manner
Interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of relevant standards and codes of practice
Working knowledge of MS Office programmes and engineering software as appropriate.
Fluency in written and spoken English
