Job Description

The Electrical Technician will be a member of the Shell Pearl GTL Electrical Workshop Team, responsible for carrying out workshop routine activities such as motor overhauling, electrical testing, portable electrical equipment inspection,preventive and corrective maintenance activities of electrical workshop, and support power generation and distribution of the Pearl GTL Complex.

The candidate will be accountable for the maintenance of Electrical Equipment for electrical workshop and test equipment based on approved Maintenance Strategies, Procedures and Working Instructions to ensure the Availability and Integrity of the installed Electrical Equipment and systems thus meeting the requirements of the company.

The candidate should have at least OND/ONC or equivalent in Electrical with at least 5 years maintenance experience.
For HV/LV Motor overhauling/maintenance candidate should be able to obtain skill and the certification for Ex motor repair as per IEC 60079-19. Also experience in electrical component and relay testing, Portable electrical equipment inspections, uses of test and measuring instruments etc.

The incumbent will need be assessed and approved as an Authorized Electrical Person to fulfill the requirements of this position.
Preferably with knowledge and experience in safe use of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous environment and having CompEx (EX01-04) certifications.

Exposure to turnaround and projects is preferred. Other necessary experience includes collaborative working, facilitation experience,good presentation and writing skills, appreciation of cultural diversity, and a focus on continuous learning and improvement. Fluency in both written and verbal English is required.
