JOB DESCRIPTION

This job requires performing laboratory test and analysis that involve geological samples and reservoir fluids as well as other chemicals used in the oil field industry.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Knows and understands Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Process and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules, confidentiality practices and company policies of Weatherford

Capable of perform laboratory test/experiments

Accurately follows protocols that could be industry standard or defined by the client

Capable of operating laboratory apparatus, where equipment testing and/or equipment building may be involved

Complies and record data from tests for further analysis according to company standards

Perform daily tasks in a timely manner

Meet all daily and monthly assignments with the highest quality level

Properly communicates produced results to manager and other team members

Perform various other duties, projects and activities as assigned by supervisor or management within the physical constraints of the job

Writes reports

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous lab experience

Excellent attention to detail, organizational and follow up skills.

Basic knowledge of computer systems, familiar with Microsoft software, Excel, Word, and Power Point

Ability to communicate well both verbally and written in English

Ability to work well individually and within a team environment.

Ability to work well with all levels of employees and management.

Must be able to follow and understand written protocols and instructions.

Ability to operate laboratory and testing equipment.

Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours

High School Diploma or GED

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations

Preferred:

BS Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Engineering or related field sciences

Speak other languages.  Spanish preferred.
