Raeburn have a new opportunity for a HR Business Analyst for a 6- 9 month contract role based in Aberdeen.

The HR business analyst is responsible for analysing the HR business and its key services and documenting the business operation, its processes and systems. They are responsible for identifying business needs, standardisation of how HR works and interprets business rules and requirements for technical systems (liaising closely with IT and in particular SAP HR functional consultants)


The role is pivotal in determining the feasibility and impact of proposed HR projects as part of the development of the HR Change Management and/or HR Change Board decisions. The role is responsible for coordinating and capturing requirements of changes that are determined outside the planning process. This role plays a key part of determining the new solutions that allows HR to meet the business strategy as well as our global standards.

Planning & Organising

The HR business analyst will be pivotal in the delivery of quality business analysis solutions within agreed timescales where key progress checkpoints are established, monitored and controlled as well as instrumental in performing the acquisition and analysis of data to identify business issues with limited supervision.

Internal & External Relationships

The ability to communicate on all levels is paramount to the success of this role.

Skills/Qualifications & Experience Minimum Qualifications:
Educated to degree level ·
Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience across varied business and IT related projects

Experience: ·
·Strong requirements gathering experience, able to use varied skill base of tools and techniques to tease out required information ·
·Strong documentation skills and proven track record of raising high quality concise functional requirements ·
Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies. ·
·Networks, building relationships to collect and give information, building support and securing buy-in for desired objectives ·
·Ability to influence others and move to a common vision.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate solid analytical judgement. ·
·Project management experience for small projects required ·
·Multicultural knowledge and ability to work across varying time zones

·Previous experience as an HR business analyst involved in business process improvement, requirements gathering, blueprint development, running workshops ·
·Experienced 1 full cycle of project an HR business& systems project implementation ·
·Knowledge of SAP HR- Personnel admin and organisational management

·Knowledge of SAP HR- Time, Payroll, Security, compensation management and Authorisation ·
·Experience in training on new changes from project implementation ·
·Knowledge of business case development and conducting feasibility studies ·
·Exposure to assisting with various testing and implementation of HR projects (business and systems) ·
