Our Client, based in Dyce, is looking for a Condition Monitoring Engineer on a staff basis.
The Client is a world leader in Rotating Equipment Performance, they support clients from Oil & Gas, Marine, Renewables, Utilities, Food & Beverage, Aggregates and Railways, helping them to maximise machinery reliability and availability. The position will have a potential mix of onshore and offshore workload, depending on client requirements. The successful candidate will utilise various Condition Monitoring techniques in the collection and analysis of data to identify machinery defects and provide appropriate and timely maintenance recommendations.
The position on offer is a client facing role - as Responsible Engineer you will liaise with company's clients' Rotating Equipment Technical Authorities, to advise, resolve and close out machinery condition exceptions. In doing so, will be receptive to opportunities for business development when they occur and will interface with the Company's Business Development team to maximise potential products and service sales.
In addition to the role's technical and business development activities, there will be an element of contract management required; in assisting Service Delivery Management in commercial and operational planning aspects of contract and adhoc work-scopes.
The company has a Remote Diagnostic Centre in Aberdeen which relies on a team-based approach to provide high standards of service and continuity to clients, receiving vibration and system data collected from hand-held and online data collection systems. With ever-advancing technology, you will receive and process data from wireless sensor, App based systems through to multi-channel and online data collection systems.
As well as BINDT / ISO VA2 in vibration analysis, communication skills, computer literacy, teamwork and a background in engineering - at degree level or worthy equivalent, is sought.
In addition to vibration analysis, it would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have competence in firepump performance testing. The company's professional development programme builds on employee skills, which includes - or works towards - multiple aspects of condition monitoring including vibration, oil, thermodynamic and electrical analysis.
