We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Strategy Engineer on behalf of our Oil and Gas client. This is an initial 12 month contract based in Aberdeen.

The Maintenance Strategy Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Maintenance Strategies and Philosophies are continuously reviewed, optimised and implemented in SAP for the UK assets in support of safety, reliability and cost efficiency drivers.

The incumbent is directly responsible to the Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor and should ensure that the maintenance and reliability program is fully optimised across the UK organisation. Accountable for maintaining the suite of strategies and ensuring alignment and updating as and when philosophies, legislation or performance standards are amended.

Other duties include;

Ensure that the maintenance management system (SAP) meets the intent of the Performance Standards and Maintenance Strategies.
Continual review, update and custody of all the UK Maintenance Strategies, ensuring that they are aligned and implemented within the maintenance management system.
Lead and facilitate maintenance strategy reviews.
Collaborate with the Integrated Operations teams to identify improvements in maintenance and reliability programmes to increase maintenance efficiency, critical equipment reliability and production uptime.
Share and implement best practices across assets.
Review and approve major changes to the maintenance management system content ensuring they are appropriately aligned to enable efficient scheduling and execution.
Provide direction to Master Data Coordinator to ensure that modifications are recorded and implemented within the maintenance management system (Asset register, criticality assessment, planned maintenance routines etc)
Provide direction to the Spares Coordinator, as and when spares are required.

Experience required;

Good understanding of Maintenance Strategies and the Philosophy
Business and commercially aware with the ability to derive the correct case for change as required
Provide long term vision with the ability to collaborate with and influence the organisation to gain support for strategy development initiatives
Strong analytical ability using large volumes of data
Strong SAP knowledge and proficient in Excel and Word is essential

Qualifications required;

Qualified discipline engineer to degree standard with previous experience in a similar role
