We are currently recruiting a Process Engineer for our activities in Kazakhstan to perform engineering process studies supporting offshore and onshore pre-project studies, advice on the surface constraints of the integrated production system model (IPSM) for Kashagan. Support the development of surface optimization projects. Approve works as process engineer. Provide process engineering specialist advice to the offshore and onshore facilities.


The Key responsibilities are:

  • To investigate process engineering related problems and opportunities, preparing surveys and engineering studies
  • To engineer changes and additions to process systems calculating the expected cost of the suggested modifications
  • To issue high quality conceptual designs, detailed design; key drawings including PFO's, P&ID's, data sheets and engineering reports in a timely manner
  • To identify and propose safety and environmental operation improvement opportunities. To prepare and develop proper scope of work for external engineering contractors to support engineering studies development ;
  • To develop process models and simulate the process facilities using field data
  • To initiate and supervise process engineering work by external engineering contractors, to ensure progress and quality of work;
  • To provide adequate handover of process designs to Engineering group for detailed design where required
  • To prepare the framing document, technical report for Process discipline studies
  • To report progress of all assigned work to the Line Manager;
  • To participate in the risk assessment and hazard and operability studies of designs
  • To perform peer and inter-discipline checks on work by engineers within and outside the Concept Definition Team;
  • To ensure compliance of assigned process engineering work specifications, codes and standards
  • To ensure the selection of cost effective designs and materials, taking into account operating costs and standardization of equipment;
  • To study best domestic and international process engineering practice for use in Field design work
  • To interface Process Licensor, Vendors and Consultant for technical evaluation and Unit performance analysis.

  • Proven good knowledge of process engineering, international engineering standards and best practices.
  • Familiar with part of project life cycle and/or experience in front line oil and gas production operations.
  • Some experience of driving business improvement in engineering, key words being: technology, fit-for-purpose solutions and cost effectiveness.



  • B.s. or masters level degree in process engineering, chemistry or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience of upstream oil and gas industry.
