Position Overview: Coordinates and implements sales activities for all services to Basic's customers. Familiar with and able to sell all lines of company business.

Reports to: Area Manager, District Manager, Area Superintendent, or Operations Manager

Directs Reports: None

Major duties:

 

 

  • Develops sales plans and strategies for review and approval of the management
  • Works territory assigned by management
  • Maintains professional contact with customers which includes daily face-to-face sales calls
  • In conjunction with management produces sales bids and conducts negotiations regarding sales activities
  • Communicates daily with management team
  • Keeps informed of competitor's activities and pricing through review of information from the field or other sources
  • Works directly with other sales representatives
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 


Qualifications and Skills

Required:

 

 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of equipment and services being sold
  • Proven sales record
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

 


Preferred:

 

 

  • 2+ years of college
  • Some management experience

 


Physical Requirements:

 

 

  • Long periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Climbing and walking daily
  • Driving daily to various locations

 


Typical working conditions and hazards:

 

 

  • Work is performed in all weather conditions
  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H 2 S respirator where required
  • Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery
  • Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
