Specialist - Offshore Heavy Lift Cranes & Heavy Equipment

Responsibilities:

• Wire rope inspections, EMAG inspections and lubrications.

• Load testing and annual surveys of cranes.

• Auditing PMS.

• Carry out quarterly inspections on the heavy lift cranes in fleet.

• Expertise in crane repairs and assist in planning repairs.

• Report findings to management on cohesive reports.

• Assist in crane upgrades.

• Additional crane inspection and lifting equipment Inspection trainings would be an added advantage.

 

Education & Experience:

- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

- 10 -15 years of experience in maintenance, inspections, trouble shooting on Offshore heavy lift cranes, pipe lay equipment and winches.

- Familiar with computerized control systems - PLCs.

- Sound knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulic controls & system and API requirements for rotating equipment.

- Required to travel offshore to assist in technical problem solving, repairs & trouble shooting as required.

- Proven experience in inspections, repairs, maintenance and trouble shooting and 1000 TONS to 3500 TONS or above on Clyde, Huisman, ZPMC type offshore cranes.

- Heavylift crane inspections including structure, machinery and controls.

- Good written and spoken English skills and in MS Word and Excel.
