Position:


Eagle Automation has an opening for a Jr. Field Engineer / Programmer to expand our efforts in the fast paced, and growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin of West Texas and South-East New Mexico. The candidate will be responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving PLC's, HMI's and RTU's in an oil and gas field or plant setting, as well as interfacing and communicating with customers on project work. Candidate would work with customers to identify desired automation and controls functionality and then deliver such programming. This would include designing, planning, managing, installing, performing start-up, commissioning and related documentation of such automation and control systems. Other duties may include instrumentation calibrations, loop tuning, troubleshooting, communication installations, and SCADA integration.
The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, reliable, demonstrate a desire to learn and is capable of adapting quickly across job functions and responsibilities. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, trouble-shooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWD's), and plants. • Participate in customer call outs
• Use of basic hand tools
• Use of Fluke Meter and test equipment

Candidate should also have knowledge of the following:


o LACT Skids
o 4-20ma and 1-5V end devices
o Switches
o Radio, Cellular communications
o VFD
o PID Loops

Additional skills:

• Ability to Write a JSA and identify hazards while working in the field
• Ability to take direction from other Team Engineer and management
• Must be willing to enthusiastically engage in assignments and take ownership in the work that is performed.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager and other senior engineering personnel to complete design work to specifications

Experience:

At least five years' experience in a field environment for Oil &Gas, both Upstream and Midstream facilities required
Experience in O&G field automation, instrumentation, process controls, and field engineering required. A minimum of a two-year associates degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.
