JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment for which the assistant has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist with or prepare laboratory samples for testing. Perform tests according to procedures provided and process data from test results.
High School Diploma/GED plus verifiable work experience. Basic chemistry knowledge a plus. Advanced education will be considered in lieu of experience. Ability to read and interpret instructional materials relating to procedures required.
Familiarity with basic computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs required. Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends and some holidays.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposure to high pressure and high temperatures is common.
