Job Summary
This position is located in Anadarko's corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX and is part of the Tax Compliance Team.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications:



  • A minimum of 5 years of tax experience required, preferably in upstream oil and gas compliance

  • Knowledge of Corptax and SAP

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Experience in ASC 740

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to describe complex transactions and tax consequences

  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations with courage and professionalism

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines

  • Experience in managing and developing staff

  • Big 4 experience strongly preferred


The primary job functions for this position will include:




  • Prepare and review federal income tax returns (Forms 1120, 1065, etc.) for a multinational publicly traded corporation.

  • Prepare and review tax basis balance sheets.

  • Manage periodic budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Help implement strategy and policy set by management.

  • Assist with fact gathering, tax research, and tax analysis for specific transactions.

  • Special projects as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required. Master's Degree preferred.

CPA strongly preferred.

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
