Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Manager, Logistics - North Asia located in Binhai Office , Tianjin /China ,
1, Market Areas Distribution Network Management:
Manage resources to deliver business rules, performance, transportation, and export requirements. Responsible for warehouse and transportation, imported/exported, customer services and export Management performance in the Market area.
2, Collaborate with Network planners for materials movements. Participate as a part of a team in negotiations with logistics suppliers and evaluation of the logistic supplier performance. Identify and communicate constraints to Supply Network Planner. Annually reviews logistics rules for materials movements and updates system.
3, Operational Excellence and Process Management:
Conducts a continuing safety program to maintain a safe work environment concerning operating rules, practices, facilities and equipment.
4, Responsible for managing processes that determine the best mode of transport and select the best carrier to meet the OTIF requirement for shipments. Manage resources and Process to evaluate transportation compliance requirements: Hazmat, Route restrictions, HES, local department of transportation, etc.
5, warehouse and Delivery performance:
Responsible for proper storage, Distribution of products and/or materials to meet On Time in Full deliveries (OTIF) requirement while maintain right inventory levels.
6, Organizational Capability:
Integrate local Distribution activities with other locations in the Market area and other key Areas of CGL business.
7, Train and Manage resources to meet Distribution deliverables.
Develops, encourages and manages employee abilities in an effort to increase Organizational capacity. Plans and provides resources to Train and increase awareness of workforce On Operational procedures in order to have tasks done in a safe, efficient and reliable way.
1. Minimum 10 years working experience in MNC manufacturing industry, 5 years working experience in logistics or supply chain management position.
2. Good negotiation skills and communication skills both in Chinese and English.
3. Strong leadership and organizational management capability to lead and develop the logistics team.
4. Self-motivated and result-orientated with collaborative working attitude
5. Good Digital technology literacy, knowledege in SAP is an asset.
6. Knolwedge in China Customs regulations is preferred
