Job Purpose

  1. Provide technical input and execute the Mechanical Static Engineering Strategy, Business Plan and Policy by providing full spectrum of Technical & Project engineering services & expertise, Groupwide value-intensed Specialised Engineering Solutions, Technical Capability Development, Group Technical Authority, Technical Assurance and Custodianship of PETRONAS Technical Standards
  2. To achieve and sustain optimum Asset efficiency, safety, reliability integrity and availability towards achieving PETRONAS project and operational excellence thereby enhancing PETRONAS's competitive edge and recognition as a world class one stop engineering solution provider.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Provide technical input and execute Mechanical Static Engineering solution to PETRONAS projects and assets to maximize project productivity and sound investment decisions.
  2. Enforcement and mitigation on project and asset issues via efficient technical integrity solution and assurance services in order to uphold corporate HSE policy and technical governance to ensure their assets operability deficiency are identified and mitigated.
  3. Provide technical input and execute Mechanical Static technical services (Heat Exchanger Thermal Design, Pressure Vessel Design & Analysis, Storage Tank Design & Analysis, P-ALS and GSWP) for PETRONAS projects and assets
  4. Provide technical input and execute the engineering services and expertise of Static engineering for Front End Engineering Design, plant change and Capital Projects managed by Project Delivery & Technology, technical support on exploration, acquisition and divestment stage and perform Situational Assessment for critical JOB/OBO projects to ensure completeness and conforming technical integrity requirements.
  5. Review, verify and assure the technical engineering services and expertise provided to PETRONAS projects and operations by ensuring technical compliance and implementation, meeting key engineering deliverables and assure technical integrity and compliance to industry standard for JOB/OBO.
  6. Review, verify and assure the implementation of best practices/lessons learnt in relevant discipline through project implementations, information sharing in forums, workgroups, JV Operators and networking event so as to capture and incorporate Best Practices into PETRONAS Technical Standards (PTS) and to support the implementation of Best Practice in PETRONAS groupwide.
  7. Provide technical input and execute the Standard Management Systems/Tools/ Methodology in carrying out investigation work, studies, assessment and performing plant operations in order to provide quality of work and deployment of GTS Best practices for PETRONAS groupwide.
