Experience:

Job Purpose

  • Deliver JOB/OBO projects through review, verify, provide technical input and execute total project management activities and provide engineering solutions for JOB/OBO development projects for Malaysia to assure effective projects delivery with optimum economics, cost and schedule in accordance with acceptable engineering and project management practices and standards as stipulated in the PSCs in order to safeguard PETRONAS interest, maximize PETRONAS value and shareholder returns and minimize value leakage to meet PETRONAS R2's target by 2020.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Validate and monitor JOB/OBO Operators to ensure prudent development of the oil and gas discoveries, assurance of project and technical governance, ensuring application of fit-for-purpose/cost-effective technology and project development implementation for a timely exploitation of commercially feasible development of discovered oil and gas fields in line with PETRONAS business targets and objectives to maximize return on investment.

 

  1. Participate, review and verify technical and commercial proposals review and Front-End Loading deliverables (e.g. Area Development Plan, Feasibility Study, Milestone Reviews, Development Concepts, Overall Contracting Strategy, Field Development Plan, Design Basis Memorandum, Cost Estimate, Project Schedule, etc.) and other various surface engineering deliverables on field development scheme before embarking on project execution to maximize Shareholder's return on investment and meeting PETRONAS business targets and objectives.

 

  1. Promote the sharing of technologies and innovative project solutions on project execution strategies, provide technical inputs and plans to effectively execute development projects by active engagement through formal and informal forums to ensure that projects are delivered within the approved cost and time and meeting the quality and HSE standards set forth in line with PETRONAS business objectives and targets.

 

  1. Coordinate and focal person for PD&T engineering support to JOB/OBO projects for all reviews, proposals and various surface engineering deliverables to ensure optimal technical solutions and cost effective development concepts to safeguard PETRONAS business objectives and targets.

 

  1. Ensure the JOB/OBO projects risks are managed through a structure project risk assessment process in line with corporate risk level to eliminate or arrest unacceptable project deviation and/or risks.
