  • Degree in any Engineering discipline.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years experiences in petroleum industry, with 3 years experiences in deep-water drilling activities is an added advantage

Job Purpose

  • Plan, execute, control and supervise engineering and project work activities from contracting strategy, technical & commercial evaluation, contract execution & budget observation throughout conceptual & detailed design, fabrication, installation, testing and hookup & commissioning of surface facilities particularly in the Floating Structures for all field development projects undertaken by Company in line with company policy/ objectives to ensure reliable and successful implementation.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Lead comprehensive feasibility study, conceptual design and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) by developing detailed and comprehensive Floating Structures engineering study in project implementation phase, with regards to technology, methodology, commonality and analyze impact to project objectives, identify areas for improvement and effective design engineering practices to ensure optimum project development

 

  1. Lead optimum design analysis and quality evaluation of detailed design by preparing and executing the contracting strategy, technical evaluation and recommendation of design contracts, reviewing design requirement and schedule, defining and preparing contract scope of work during various phases of project development, ensuring Contractor's compliance to contractual requirement in project design engineering, leading to the completion of detailed drawings, manuals, design report and specification for optimum fabrication Develop, prepare and review project cost estimate, project budget for approval and verify claims for changes in works to meet overall project objectives. Coordinate, supervise, review, recommend and provide feedback on issues between Carigali's internal department, contractor and vendors to meet the overall project objectives on cost, quality, schedule and safety.

 

  1. Develop equipment specifications, bid enquiry package and provision of engineering services by leading and facilitating a team of engineers in evaluating and recommending the appointment of contractors, approve completed works per contract milestones, provide technical response to technical queries on floating structures, provide engineering comment during the review and verity all technical data and specs to meet project quality standards and to ensure the purchase of company supplied items specifications complying with codes and standards, regulation and company requirements.

 

  1. Acquire and apply new technology that meet project and operational requirement by analyzing and preparing recommendation to ensure proven technology is used whenever possible and appropriate development solutions is selected if proven technology is not available for effective cost optimization.
  2. Lead technical integrity check of project deliverables including validation of all designs, calculations, and scopes of work, specifications, and bills of quantities, drawings and reports through execution of QA/QC functions, by means (where applicable) of Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), Peer/Line Review, Project Integrated Review (PIR), QRA, Project Risk Assessment (PRA) in compliance with PETRONAS Technical Standard (PTS); international codes and standard, and best practices; local authorities or government regulations.

 

  1. Provide technical expertise to Project Teams during various phases of project execution, i.e. during conceptual, FEED, detailed design, Factory Acceptance Test, troubleshooting at site during fabrication and hook-up & commissioning; and to Production Units, i.e. operational audit, management safety audit, major maintenance, troubleshooting, major replacement work and major upgrading to ensure successful project implementation.

 

  1. Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers in order to keep abreast with latest development in the relevant markets and capitalise on insider status to capture opportunities for seamless interfacing in developing and implementing new business ventures and enhance public confidence in company products and services.

 

  1. Codes of Conduct (COCD) and HSE Policies Adopt the objectives and provisions of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and Codes of Conduct and Discipline (COCD) and facilitate mitigation and/or intervention programmes to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.

 

  1. Enhance own competencies and contribute to the development of the working team through coaching, mentoring, feedback and internal successions to ensure internalization of the right leadership and capabilities in executing the job.
