Job Purpose

  • Execute and assimilate value adding technology solutions through Asset Integrity Management which include Risk Based Inspection, Scheme of Examination, Fitness for Service and Corrosion Management Plan; performing technical services and solutions related to inspection i.e. Failure Investigation, Quality Management, Welding Technology, Non- Destructive Testing; develop guidelines and best practices; and building technical competency through Accelerated Competency Development.

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Participate in implementation and operation of projects (technology solution, HAZOP, conceptual design, application of new technology, pilot, etc.) in the relevant discipline by providing technology solutions, technical services and initiatives to ensure smooth Plant operations and/or enhance Plant integrity.
  2. Participate in analysis and identification of Plant concerns & issues in the area of Inspection through executing Root Cause Analysis, proposing fit for proposed technology solutions, securing supports from Technical Professionals (TPs) and preparing study report on problems and develop solutions to ensure safe for Plant to continue operation
  3. Participate in capital project during engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations through root cause failure analysis, failure investigation and prevention and participate in engineering analysis and review to achieve acceptable standard project quality.
  4. Conduct Engineering Analysis /Review in the development of technology solutions and technical service to acquire technology know-how and competency by applying engineering tools (e.g. P-RBI, SOE, FFS, Common NDT tools, fit for purpose calculation, Equipment & Inspection Codes and Standards, etc.) to ensure latest developments of Asset Integrity tool.
  5. Participate in business performance improvement through capability building, inculcating knowledge seeking & sharing culture across the organization through capturing, evaluating and implementing technical governance, best practices, lessons learnt, etc. in relevant discipline through project implementations, information sharing in forums, workgroups, and networking event. This will capture and incorporate Best Practices into PETRONAS Technical Standards (PTS) and support the implementation of Best Practice in all relevant OPUs.
  6. Participate in relevant Working Groups, Skill Groups, etc. by assisting with other activities such as assuming the role of secretariat, facilitators, organizers, etc. to ensure smooth progression of Group activities.
  7. Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.
  8. Enforce the implementation of applicable PETRONAS procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements to ensure conformance to the established Limits of Authority (LOA) to safeguard PETRONAS interest, image and reputation.
  9. Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the objectives and provisions of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and Codes of Conduct and Discipline (COCD) and undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention program to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.
  10. Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalization of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs.
  11. Coordinate and implement distinctive mindset, behavior and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementation of value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence.
