JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Shift Supervisor/Deck or Barge Foreman responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Shift Supervisor/Deck Foreman is the deputy to the OCM & DOCM- Is the responsible person in charge of above deck operations crew and support vessels assigned within spread. ROV Intervention, Sub Sea construction projects
  • Supervising the overall safe installation of the project as specified and determined in the Project Installation Procedure, liaising with offshore operations and PMT, daily to ensure continuity of works and to report on progress
  • Controlling all crane lifting operations, or designate the same to qualified others
  • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices
  • Familiarity with the contents of the offshore operations HSES procedures , ensuring that all supervisory personnel are also aware of the procedures
  • Following the instructions and responsibilities within the Emergency Response Procedures and advising crew of their responsibilities
  • Ensuring all McDermott Offshore Operations Procedures are followed
  • Chair interface meetings/pre shift meetings with all shift supervisors to discuss planned events, and to ensure regular lines of communications are adhered to by all supervisors to maximize safety/efficiency/productivity
  • Ensuring manning levels are maintained for safe operations of the projects
  • Maintaining all project rigging in use - liaising with L2CC on keeping rigging certifications valid.
  • Ensuring that all project equipment on deck & in RDS bay is properly sea fastened & secured
  • Controlling all project crane & A&R operations in accordance with marine and McDermott operating procedures

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in the offshore construction industry
  • Extended knowledge and experience in Marine and Subsea operations with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Shift Supervisor & Deck Foreman Certificate/Training/DP Awareness/OVM
  • College Degree
  • Ability to lead teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid Offshore Medical
  • BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved)
  • Fluent both in spoken and written English
  • DP Vessel experience
