Providing assistance to Client in the performance of surveillance and/or inspection activities related to coating applications necessary for achieving the desired levels of quality as it pertains to the project.

General Responsibilities:
Review coating system(s) to be used in the specific areas.
Participate in project meetings as needed.
Verify storage environment of the coating materials.
Verify working order of contractor equipment (i.e. pot agitator, pressure gauge, etc.)
Monitor surface preparation prior to coating. Confirm anchor pattern and degree of preparation is in accordance with Client specifications.
Monitor coatings application, including temperature, dew point, relative humidity, and wet film thickness.
Measure and record dry film thickness of each coat as well as finished surface.
Mark any area requiring remedial work by the contractor.
Notify coating supplier's technical representative of any difficulties observed and accompany him/her should a site visit become necessary.
Advise Client of any quality or schedule problems, as they become evident.
Prepare list of coating items for inclusion into the final punch list.
Prepare and issue inspection report.

Qualifications:

Experience / Education / Technical Certifications / Training:
Minimum of seven (7) years experience with the application and/or inspection of spray applied multiple coat paint systems, or
Minimum of three (3) years experience with the application and/or inspection of spray applied multiple coat paint systems, and at least one of the following:
~ Received a high school/GED or higher education
~ Received a relevant technical certification
~ Passed a related technical assessment(s)
~ Possess other equivalents deemed appropriate by Operations Management
General:
Be able to read, write, and speak the English language
Be familiar with/able to interpret and understand the following related to multi-discipline construction projects:
~ National codes and standards
~ Specifications, drawings, and data sheets
Be fit for duty
