•Minimum 8 Years of Oil and Gas Operations preferred

 


Qualifications:

· Understands the working design and operation of wellhead and associated well site components such as Wellhead valves, Safety Shutdown Valves, Safety Systems, Gas Lift, Pump Jack Operation, and Allocation Equipment.

· Understands the basic design principles and operation of production process equipment such as, liquid and gas separation equipment, gas treating equipment.


Description:

Under the direction of the Production Lead Operator and Operator A, the Operator B is responsible for understanding all process systems that are operated safely, within equipment specific design capabilities, and monitor operational parameters to maximize production safely and making adjustments where necessary.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Performs all duties with little supervision, necessary to maintain target production rates from lease oil and gas wells by employing industry or Murphy approved practices and procedures
•Performs all duties under Operator A supervision/direction to maintain compliance with Murphy HSE standards.
•Work with Operator A to familiarize themselves with standard operating procedures, follow safe work practices are adhered to in the Facility or Lease, and implements the goals of the Permit to Work program (PTW).
•Monitors and performs necessary repairs to chemical injection equipment.
•As necessary, assists in adjusting levels and rates on production separation equipment, and learns basic troubleshooting procedures along with equipment specific design parameters, to obtain maximum efficiency and provide proper maintenance.
•Assists in maintaining all lease records necessary for production accounting, regulatory compliance, personnel safety, equipment maintenance and material movements.
•Assists in the requisition of supplies as necessary and monitors inventory of material on hand.
•Monitors, records, and witness's custody transfer of hydrocarbons to sales, and verifies all necessary information pertaining to the transfer.
•Acts as the Murphy representative for any on lease activities such as fluid transfers, construction and repair projects performed by sub-contractors.

•Reports all accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor.
•Performs any other job-related duties assigned by an immediate supervisor.
