LV/MV Electrician

EnerMech Mechanical Services is a provider of Electrical & Instrument Construction, Maintenance and Capital Project Solutions within the Industrial Division of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Automation, with an ever expanding workforce of both Direct Hire Craft and Professional Staff.

Position Summary for LV/MV Electrician

 

 

  • Responsible for Reading Blueprints and Project Specification to perform the Scope of Work.
  • Possess all Tools required for Tasks and have the ability to identify Safety Risks and the precautions required to eliminate Risks of Electrical Shock
  • Very knowledgeable of Breaker Raking, LOTO and Ground Clusters
  • Ability to Repair or Replace Components, with Proper Testing Procedures
  • Experienced with all Associated LV and MV Gear, such as Vacuum Breakers, Ground Fault, Interlocks, DC Controls, Insulation and Resistance Testing and Recording.
  • Perform Hi Pot and Ductor Testing.
  • Additional Responsibilities include working at Heights and High Noise Level.

 


Qualifications

 

 

 

 

  • Minimum 5 years of Experience as an Industrial Electrician, with LV/MV Switch Gear and TDLR Licensing.
  • Experienced with multiple Vendors for MCCs, Transformers and Switch Gear.
  • Proper knowledge to Operate Breakers with Test Power.
  • Ability to use Mechanical and Power Tools, such as Hydraulic Crimpers, Port-a-Band Saw, Drill Motors, Hammer Drills, Cable Tugger, and Man Lifts.
  • Experienced with Bolting and Torqueing of Buss Bar and Terminal Connections.
  • Knowledge of Stress Cones for Terminations or Splicing.
  • Must have all Hand Tools common to the Trade.
  • Physical Requirements: Bending, Kneeling, Climbing, Hot and Cold Conditions.
