Job Description

 

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Cardno PPI quality management function, including client satisfaction and employee deliverables. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) Management System
  • Promote QHSE policy/objective achievement and performance improvement across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards as required to perform work
  • Facilitate the definition of processes and procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Facilitate the establishment and measurement of comprehensive quality objectives based on business objectives
  • Establish and manage continual improvement programs such as internal audit programs, non-conformance reporting, corrective and preventive actions, management reviews, etc.
  • Manage and liaise with external audits such as certification audits, client audits, etc.
  • Establish a Client Supplier Capability, Assessment, and Maintenance program
  • Identify relevant QHSE-related training needs and develop programs with the process owners to address them
  • Maintain current ISO 9001 certification
  • Liaise with clients regarding QHSE issues as needed
  • Review proposals and executed contracts for client quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain Cardno PPI audit schedule, checklists, and protocols
  • Ensure corrective actions are processed for customer complaints or external audit findings
  • Complete special projects as necessary
  • Proficient in ISN and PEC.
  • Initiate and implement lean projects for Operational Excellence
  • Develop, establish, and maintain internal OE projects

 

Desired Requirements

  • Willing to travel 10-15% of time. Most travel will be within either Houston, TX or Lafayette, LA.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple tasks without compromising results
  • Ability to communicate and motivate the group for continual improvement

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or service processes in the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of API Q1, API Q2, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001
  • Minimum of 2 years of managing a Quality Management System
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or other Certified Lead Auditor (or equivalent) recommended
  • Minimum 5 years of active auditing work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory role

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Past experience dealing with third-party inspection companies in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience with one or more of the following: non-destructive testing, welding, heat treat, coating, premium threads, or other special processes
