SUPERVISOR, SHIPPING & INVENTORY CONTROL
This position will ensure inventory management and shipping procedures are established and are implemented in a uniform and consistent manner in the Godley facility. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures is necessary. Incumbent will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervision of all Godley warehouse personnel affecting inventories and shipments of goods, including raw materials and finished goods.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly transportation needs, communicate with trucking companies via e-mail, text message, and phone
- Provide a safe working environment by enforcing and maintaining all safety procedures
- Communicate with warehouse managers for shipment needs like class a or any other special needs
- Assist employees with problem solving
- Order supplies, crates skids and any other items used in shipment of products
- Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties and delegated tasks
- Monitor employee productivity and provide feedback and coaching
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five years experience in Shipping & Inventory Management
- Extensive knowledge of the storage, handling and documentation of shipments containing hazardous materials.
- Experience in an advanced ERP software system (Oracle preferred, BaaN, AS-400, SAP).
- Experience in spread sheet, document, and presentation preparation software (Microsoft Office preferred, Word Perfect).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, periodicals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Excellent written and spoken communication/presentation skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
