Main duties:

The Lead Instructor will be responsible for front of house delivery and all associated duties with this role, including;

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with management, course sales and administration to ensure the highest levels of operational flexibility, customer service and efficiency
  • Line management for instructors - manage, motivate, develop
  • Act as role model, setting high personal and professional standards
  • Personally deliver training courses to the highest standards of quality and customer service
  • Ensure high levels of operational flexibility are built into course delivery
  • Ensure all training equipment, facilities and resources are maintained to a high standard, and in line with statutory requirements
  • Organise and manage resources to optimise centre profitability
  • Conduct observations on training staff to ensure they are delivering courses in accordance with standards, including E&D, Safeguarding and Information, Advice and Guidance

  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, e-mail & telephone
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas, provide solutions and lead by example

  • Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as a leader, an individual, as well as being able to integrate and operate as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of industry standards and legislation
  • Have the ability to conduct research, develop course material, advise in delivery, develop subordinates, and deliver courses to high profile delegates
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of trainers, visitors and delegates, therefore IOSH Managing Safely is essential as a minimum level to fulfilling this duty
  • Capable of observing trainers to ensure delivery is of the highest standard, therefore a level 3 teacher training and assessor's award is an essential qualification as a minimum to fulfilling this duty
  • Operational experience is an essential element for ensuring delivery is appropriate to all level of delegates, creating a world class learning experience
  • Maintaining competency in all specialists' subjects is of vital importance to ensuring delegates receive the latest and most accurate information
  • Being self-motivated, driven and setting a high benchmark as a leader and individual is of vital importance to ensure continued growth, world class image and professionalism
  • Be able to deliver ECITB accredited Small-Bore tubing (SBT) SBT 01
  • Be able to deliver ECITB accredited Mechanical joint integrity (MJI) MJI 10-18-19
  • Be working towards delivering SBT & MJI Technical tests TSBT01-TMJI 10-18-19
